Gateway Specialist-LAX

Job Description:

Works in conjunction with National Air Cargo corporate operations to achieve optimum use of National’s LAX Gateway operation. Must be flexible and able to handle all aspects of opening and managing National’s LAX Gateway office.

Essential Functions:

Operations
·        Oversees paperwork flow for schedule flight , closely working with gound handler provider to ensure compliance , both for imports and export.
·        Ensures all cargo operations and security standards are maintained by any agents or suppliers who interface with National Air Cargo business. 
·        Reconciliation of manifest to include identification of “collect” shipments.
·        Analyze daily reports and collection of payments if necessary.
·        Liason with BUF OPS, prepare documents, label cargo, take pictures of outgoing shipments
·        Close out and report daily shipment counts
·        Customs interface to include both export and import knowledge working in conjunction with our regional office in BUF.
·        Tracking/Tracing trouble shooting
·        Proactive route planning for future National Air Cargo endeavors
Customer Service
·        Obtain rate quotes for customers
Sales
·        Work in conjunction with regional BDM and sales team to support all customer needs that are serviced through this gateway operation
·        Serve as interim office manager for LAX location.
·        Answer phones, order supplies when necessary, open/close office daily.
Airline
·        As directed by Regional Operations Manager, interfaces, negotiates, and ensures full accountability to National Air Cargo routing and pricing requirments with any Air Carriers involved with forwarding cargo through LAX

Key Account Manager, Southern US Territory
Sales / Americas

Job Description:

The Key Account Executive is responsible for achieving his/her assigned sales plan by generating profitable National Air cargo revenue growth through the development of new business and the retention of existing clients within his/her territory (TX,OK,LA,AR,MA,TN,AL,NC,SC,GA & FL).  This position analyzes customers' current supply chain needs to create appropriate solutions and promptly respond to customers' request.
 
The primary focus of this position is to conduct face-to-face customer sales calls.  The Key Account Executive travels to customer sites to hold meetings and gather information.  This individual analyzes customer needs and proposes transportation solutions.  The Key Account Executive builds relationships with key stakeholders, and generates revenue  opportunities across all product service lines.  Pre-sale duties include preparing action, plans, customized presentations, performing pre-call research and analysis.  Post-sale duties include ensuring smooth implementation and account setup.  The Key Account Executive also responds to internal and external customer concerns or problems, determines corrective actions, and/or assigns response personnel.

Essential Functions:

  • ​Maintain and grow a book of business (e.g. Air, International Freight)
  • Introduce new products and services and expand business opportunities within customer accounts
  • Track sales performance to objectives:
    • Revenue Measurement: Overall growth (maintenance and new business); credit only for outbound shipments (air, ocean, and line haul) from within territory
    • Focus on shipper or consignee selling
    • Goal: Minimum 6 total calls per week
    • Call=Facility visit; not individuals
    • Tradeshows (tradeshow slides completed/leads resulting from show)

Responsible for performing financial analysis on current lines of business and on opportunities being pursued; creating and maintaining budgets, analyzing and reporting variances by department and division; evaluating potential capital investments; identifying viable cost savings; modeling employment terms and conditions to enable manipulation of variables in order to identify  affordable alternatives

• Develop, implement and maintain an annual budget and quarterly forecasts. Provide monthly analysis of actual performance vs. budget.
• Develop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of the Company’s portfolio of business.
• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures.
• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
• Routinely communicate business unit financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications. Coordinate the capital spending review process for the company.

Staff Accountant

Job Description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability, and financial reporting, as well as ensuring timely and accurate government reporting and other special projects assigned.

Essential Functions:

-Responsible for general ledgers of domestic and foreign reporting units

- ​​Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures including computing corporate allocations and transfer pricing

-Prepare monthly account reconciliations

-Reconcile global intercompany balances on a monthly basis

-Maintain the Fixed Asset and Associated depreciation schedules in the accounting system; provide monthly detail to the Senior Accountant for general Journal entries; insure proper recording of new purchases and disposals

-Prepare external reporting for various agencies, including the Department of Transportation and Internal Revenue Service

-Assist in the coordination of the Company's annual audit

-Assist in the coordination of the Company's annual benefit plan audits

-Maintain a general understanding of other team members responsibilities to serve as a backup in their absence

-May perform other duties as required or directed
