For the fourth time in the last five years, National Airlines, based in Orlando, Florida, has been awarded the Diamond Award for Excellence by the US Federal Aviation Administration's maintenance training team known as FAAST.
This award symbolizes an airline's commitment to maintaining the highest levels of maintenance training and quality assurance and is highly sought after by many US carriers.
On receiving this award from the FAA at a ceremony held in the Orlando Corporate Headquarters, Steve Santangelo, National Airlines Director of Maintenance, commented on the dedication of his team as well as the commitment by the company to provide the necessary people and budget to meet the stringent award requirements. National's President and Chief Operating Officer, Ed Davidson, said, "Flight safety remains our first and most important mission. I am proud to be leading an organization composed of maintenance and operations professionals who have shown their commitment to that goal."
